We love to be a part of the past and discover what it has to offer to us. With all the remains and artifacts of the past, we have come to discover what have become of our past and what has it contributed to the present and of our future. When we want to discover something related to our history, the best place to go is museums. Museums are garbed with different collections of artworks and remains of the past. Discover want the world can offer by dwelling and spending some time in the world’s great museums.

Musee du Louvre
Paris, France


It is considered as one of the most visited museum in the world. It is an art museum and is the world’s largest museum of the world. In Louvre, you will find different collections of the ancient Egypt, classical Greece and Rome, medieval Europe and Napoleonic France. Here you will find the works of different well-acknowledged famous works like the Seated Scribe , the Jewels of Rameses II and the armless duo – the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the Venus de Milo. When you are after for the Renaissance period, see for yourself the Michelangelo’s Slaves , Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and works by Raphael, Botticelli and Titian. It also housed the works in 19th century including the Ingres’ La Grande Odalisque , GĂ©ricault’s The Raft of the Medusa and the work of David and Delacroix.

It is considered as the museum of human history and culture which showcases collections from different part s of the world, almost seven million objects. It has galleries intended to pertain collections from Egypt, Western Asia, Greece, the Orient, Africa, Italy, the Etruscans, the Romans, prehistoric and Roman Britain and medieval antiquities. The British museum has the famous Rosetta Stone which was the key to deciphering the hieroglyphs and mummies outside of Egypt.

It is founded in 6th century by Pope Julius II.Tthe Vatican museum is famous for its spiral staircases, the Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel.

Also known as The Met, is an art museum that can be found on the eastern part of the Central Park in New York City. This Gothic-style building with collections of artworks from across the world, more than 2 million works of art from human history
